FRESH CRIM DAY 2026: BEYOND THE CLASSROOM, BUILDING BONDS, CHARACTER, AND CAMARADERIE!

On October 9, 2026, the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) brought together 197 student attendees, 10 faculty members, and dozens of dedicated CP1 interns for Freshmen Criminology Students’ Day 2026 at Admiral’s Farm Park—a memorable day of spiritual reflection, adventure, teamwork, cultural expression, and fellowship.

MORE THAN A BREAK, AN OPPORTUNITY TO GROW. Through spiritual reflection, students revisited their values and aspirations as future criminology professionals. Hiking, adventure challenges, team-building games, and cultural presentations encouraged perseverance, leadership, cooperation, and appreciation for one another.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS & ATTENDEES SAID
“Enjoyable and less stress… pero yung highlight talaga din is yung daan pataas… hinihingal lahat!” — Student Participant “I enjoyed this event because I was able to socialize with my classmates na
hindi ko kilala, pero after that, naging friends ko sila.” — Student Participant

“Bakit wala kaming ganito?” — Senior Intern (in lighthearted envy) From the exhausting climb that brought laughter to the friendships formed among unfamiliar classmates, these reflections capture the heart of Fresh Crim Day: less stress, stronger connections, and meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU Our sincere appreciation goes to CCJE Dean Dennis M. Butag, Assistant Dean Lourence B. Miguel, and First-Year Adviser Vience Y. Villanueva, together with our dedicated faculty facilitators, for their leadership and support. Special recognition goes to our CP1 interns, whose hard work in cooking, food preparation, facilitating activities, and supporting event operations helped make this activity an overwhelming success.

To all 197 student attendees, thank you for bringing enthusiasm, energy, and camaraderie to this memorable gathering! At CCDC-CCJE, we believe that developing future criminology professionals means nurturing not only competence but also integrity, resilience, leadership, and compassion.
