CCDC and Puguis Elementary School Reaffirm Literacy Commitment with Project ALISTO MOA Signing

In a continued effort to strengthen foundational literacy and empower young readers, the
Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) and Puguis Elementary School (PES) officially
signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for Project ALISTO (Accelerating Learner’s
Interest in Reading by Strengthening Techniques to Achieve Desired Outcomes) on October 13,
2026, at the Puguis Elementary School grounds.

The formal ceremony, held at 3:00 PM, brought together administrators, department
coordinators, project proponents, and pre-service educators to formalize the extension program
designed to boost reading comprehension and provide practical, hands-on teaching experience
for CTE student-mentors.

The event opened with a prayer led by Jeff Abanag, BSED Math Program Coordinator,
followed by opening remarks delivered by Puguis Elementary School Project Development
Officer, Sir Oliver S. Laurian. Following the formal reading and signing of the MOA, dynamic
responses were delivered by Dr. Marina I. Sagandoy, CCDC Vice President for Academics,
alongside Ma’am Marlene O. Naboye, both underscoring the positive impact of the tutorial
initiative on young learners’ academic development.

Key updates and action plans for the upcoming implementation cycle were presented by
Project ALISTO focal persons Ma’am Marlene O. Naboye and CTE Extension Program
Coordinator Calvin Clark A. Dolo. The ceremonial gathering concluded with a closing prayer by
Karen D. Nang-is, Adviser of the Mentor’s Society. Venus K. Camolo served as the master of
ceremonies, while Laurence L. Ablaza facilitated documentation.

The partnership was witnessed and signed by project leadership and academic
coordinators across both organizations:

Project Proponents: Bernadette M. Isong, Marlene O. Naboye, Corazon A. Salabat,
and Neilyn F. Pagdeped.
