October 23, 2026, marked a significant milestone for the second-year College of Teacher Education (CTE) students as they officially launched Project A.L.I.S.T.O. at Puguis Elementary School.
The student-teachers, accompanied by Sir Dolo, received a gracious welcome from project proponent Ma’am Marlene Naboye and the school’s faculty. To ensure maximum impact, students were strategically assigned to classrooms matching their academic specializations:
- BEEd Majors: Grades 1 and 2
- BSEd Social Science & Math Majors: Grades 3 and 4
- BTLEd Majors: Grades 5 and 6
Following the formal signing of the contract between CTE and Puguis Elementary School, Ma’am Naboye led the future educators to their designated classrooms. Mentor teachers briefed the students on their key roles before, during, and after teaching sessions under the A.R.A.L. Program (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning Program)—a national learning intervention created under RA No. 12028 and DepEd Order No. 18, s. 2025 to help students overcome learning gaps.
Carrying high spirits, patience, and dedication, the CTE cohort spent their initial day connecting with both their assigned learners and faculty mentors. Day 1 concluded on a heartening note as the CTE team and Sir Dolo extended their heartfelt thanks to Puguis Elementary School for opening their doors and mentoring the next generation of educators.
