Wipe Out Waste: A Step Toward Environmental Responsibility

On May 11, 2026, a community clean-up activity titled “Wipe Out Waste” was conducted in Betag, La Trinidad, Benguet. Waste has become a growing concern in our community, especially in canals and waterways, where improper disposal causes clogging and flooding. When drainage systems are blocked, even a small amount of rain can lead to serious problems. This issue is not only environmental but also a call for responsibility, discipline, and collective action.

The Wipe Out Waste Action is a community-driven initiative focused on cleaning canals and surrounding areas to prevent waste accumulation and promote environmental awareness. Through this activity, we aim to build a culture of cleanliness, cooperation, and accountability among residents.

This project encourages individuals to actively participate in protecting the environment by practicing proper waste disposal and maintaining clean surroundings. It transforms a simple clean-up drive into a meaningful act of unity, service, and care for the community.

Moreover, the activity promotes teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication among participants, strengthening the bond within the community while working together toward a cleaner and safer environment.
