Empowering Young Savers: COA NSTP-CWTS Holds Financial Literacy Seminar

The NSTP-CWTS students of the College of Accountancy (COA) successfully conducted a financial literacy seminar titled “Be Financially Literate! BAON-dary: Setting Limits for Better Savings.” The activity aimed to introduce Grade 10 students to basic financial literacy concepts, such as budgeting, saving, and distinguishing between needs and wants.

During the seminar, the participants learned the importance of managing money wisely and developing practical saving habits. The speakers discussed essential financial terms and offered practical strategies for managing daily allowances responsibly.

The program formally opened with inspiring remarks from Rosaria Pesoyen, who introduced key financial concepts that would help students develop responsible money management habits.

Jahzeel Eustaquii explained the importance of wise money management to the Grade 10 students during the seminar held at the JMM Building. Meanwhile, Jeralyn Libuten discussed practical ways of managing allowances and emphasized the importance of prioritizing needs over wants.

Through the seminar, the participants gained a better understanding of financial literacy, the importance of saving, and practical techniques for managing their daily expenses wisely. The activity encouraged students to become financially responsible individuals by setting limits on spending and making informed financial decisions.
