CCDC Earns Third Place in Best Paper Presentation (Cluster 3) at C.U.B.E. ARISE 2026

Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) secured Third Place in the Best Paper Presentation (Cluster 3) at the C.U.B.E. ARISE 2026: Asian Research and Innovation for Sustainable Education Congress, held on October 1, 2026, at the University of Baguio Gymnasium.

The recognition was awarded to CCDC’s research paper, “Impact of Project ALISTO on Learners’ Literacy,” authored by Arlene L. Palasico, Bliss T. Bacacao, Samper G. Abad, Venus K. Camolo, and Marlene O. Naboye. The achievement placed CCDC among the institutions recognized for research contributions during the congress.

Carrying the theme “Building Resilient and Humanitarian Learning Communities Through Research and Sustainable Innovations,” C.U.B.E. ARISE 2026 brought together educators, researchers, scholars, and academic leaders from different institutions to present studies, exchange ideas, and explore innovations that contribute to sustainable education.

CCDC presented two research papers during the congress, representing faculty and student/alumni research. The presentations provided an avenue for the college to share its research work while engaging with researchers and educators from participating institutions.

Representing CCDC were the College President, Quality Assurance Director, Director of the Research Office, and Research Coordinators, who participated in the congress and its academic activities.

CCDC’s participation began a day earlier with the C.U.B.E. ARISE 2026 Welcome Dinner and Linkages on September 30 at WEMS Hall, Baguio Central University. The gathering brought together 75 guests and scholars from the Philippines, India, Korea, and Canada, providing a venue for academic exchange and the strengthening of institutional linkages ahead of the congress.

During the congress, CCDC further supported the event through the participation of three evaluators and one moderator, along with 10 CCJE interns who served as ushers. The interns assisted delegates and participants throughout the event, contributing to the organized and smooth conduct of the conference activities.

More than a venue for presenting research, C.U.B.E. ARISE 2026 provided CCDC with an opportunity to connect its research efforts with a broader academic community. The Third Place recognition for the study on Project ALISTO reflects CCDC’s continuing efforts to strengthen research and contribute evidence-based work to the field of education.
