CCDC Promotes Community Learning on Water Conservation

Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) promotes environmental awareness by sharing practical sustainability initiatives that students, employees, and community members can adopt in their daily lives. Through campus practices such as rainwater harvesting and reuse, water-efficient fixtures, leak prevention, and proper wastewater management, the College demonstrates practical ways to conserve water and prevent pollution.

Extending its advocacy from grassroots to global, CCDC shares its experience in planning and implementing its own sewage treatment plant with local officials and other academic institutions, promoting knowledge exchange on sustainable wastewater management. On the international stage, CCDC President Sherry Junette M. Tagle presented the College’s sustainability best practices, including initiatives aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, at the THE Impact Rankings Global Congress in Istanbul, Türkiye, on June 17, 2025.

Through these initiatives and knowledge-sharing efforts, CCDC encourages communities and institutions to adopt responsible water management practices, protect local water resources, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
