CCDC JOINS 4TH QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUSEARTHQUAKE DRILL 2026; CCDC Community Participates in Campus-wide Safety Exercise

Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) successfully participated in the 4th Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for 2026, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to disaster preparedness and campus safety. All students and employees took part in the activity. Participants immediately performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” maneuver and carried out an orderly evacuation to the designated assembly areas.

Evacuation sites were set at the Baeng Parking Area located at the back of the CCDC campus and along Buyagan Road. To simulate real-life emergency situations, 5 simulated injured patients were attended to by the CCDC Response Team to test emergency response and first aid protocols.

The CCDC Earthquake Response Team also played a key role in the drill by managing evacuation routes, conducting headcounts, and performing post-drill safety assessments to ensure campus readiness.

The NSED is a quarterly nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening disaster preparedness in schools and institutions across the Philippines. For CCDC, this exercise serves as a vital assessment of the school’s Emergency Response Plan and the resilience of the Admirals community. The CCDC administration extends its appreciation to all students, employees, and the Response Team for their discipline and cooperation in making the drill a success.
