The College of Teacher Education (CTE) Orientation Program was successfully conducted on August 27, 2026, at JMM Hall, with the theme “Navigating College Life: Empowering Students for Academic Success.” The activity was attended by 364 students and 29 teachers, demonstrating strong participation and support from the CTE community.
The orientation provided students with essential information on academic policies, grading systems, student support services, and the calendar of activities. Faculty members and program coordinators were introduced to help students become familiar with their teachers and offices they can approach for academic and personal concerns.
Notable activities encouraged student participation and created a more welcoming and engaging atmosphere. The Overview of the Mentors Society also introduced students to opportunities for leadership, participation, and involvement in college activities. The distribution of the student guidebook was particularly appreciated by the participants, who found it useful and inspiring based on the evaluation feedback.
Moreover, the program also featured presentations on SSO and Guidance Office concerns, providing students with information about available support services. The Mentors Society campaign period further encouraged students to engage in student leadership and organizational activities. Overall, the orientation was described by participants as organized, smooth, informative, enjoyable, and engaging. With an overall evaluation, the activity successfully achieved its goal of helping students become more informed, prepared, and connected as they navigate their college journey.
