“CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY AWARDED TO HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS TO CONDUCT LIMITED FACE -TO-FACE CLASSES”

As a result of a series of inspections and monitoring conducted by the composite team of the Commission on Higher Education-CAR, Department of Health-CAR, Local Government Unit of Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet, last April 5-8, 2021, six (6) higher education institutions in the Cordillera Administrative Region were awarded a certificate of authority to conduct limited face-to-face classes for their health priority programs. Among the said awarded schools are Cordillera Career Development College, Easter College, Saint Louis University, University of the Cordilleras, Benguet State University, and University of Baguio.

The HEIs mentioned are expected to perform continuous strict compliance with the guidelines as indicated on the CHED-DOH Joint Memorandum Circular No. 1 Series 2021 to ensure the safety of the returning students.

Even after awarding certificates of authority, the composite team is still mandated to conduct regular inspection and monitoring to countercheck their compliance to the said JMC.
