CCDC Showcases Innovation and Cultural Heritage in the 2025 WURI Global Conference Busan, South Korea

Cordillera  Career  Development  College (CCDC) joined the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) Global Conference at Tongmyong University in Busan on September 24- September 26, 2025 gathering higher education leaders worldwide to showcase impactful innovations. 

Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) presented key innovations on the global stage. CCDC’s Research Director, Corazon Ocden highlighted the Baguio Smart City Challenge, featuring student-developed solutions for a sustainable future.

While the CCDC’s Social Work Program Coordinator, Kimberlyn Valdez shared the PANBADANGAN Project Series, underscoring cultural heritage and community values.

CCDC marked a stronger presence this year, rising to 124th place globally from 146th in 2024, the highest in the Cordillera Administrative Region.

These presentations reinforced CCDC’s role in advancing education that goes beyond academics to address sustainability, culture, and community impact, further cementing the Cordillera’s visibility in global higher education.

“What transpired  in this  global  conference in Busan  affirmed  that  innovation  is not  confined  to one  institution  alone,  but  flourishes  when  institutions collaborate across  borders, said Corazon Ocden, CCDC Research Director.
