Admirals Lose a Close Battle against the Defending Champs, UB Cardinals

CCDC Admirals bowed down against Season 32nd men’s basketball defending champion, the UB Cardinals, 81-71, at the CCDC gym, Tuesday, Nov. 5.

UB Cardinals has stake claim to a clean sweep of the elimination round with a standing of 8 wins and 0 losses.

The UB Cardinals yet again proved that they are heads and shoulders above the competition.

The CCDC Admirals although in the early half controlled the game maintaining of at least a point difference of 6. The Cardinals, on the other hand, still maintained composure swiftly closing up until regaining the lead for the rest of the first half.

With the Admirals runs and steals from the Cardinals defensive error, they regained the lead at the 3rd quarter. However, the Admirals also committed straight turnovers allowing the opposing team to regain the lead and led to a 10 point difference at the end of the 4th canto.

CCDC Admirals will be proceeding with the scenario 2 competing first at the lower ladder against BCT Atoms and hoping to regain a win. If successful, they will be matching up against the UC Jaguars. Winners of the latter match up will be proceeding with a championship game against the waiting team, UB Cardinals.
