Admirals clinch 9 medals in nat’l Arnis tilt

ARNISADORES of Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) brought home nine medals in the full contact category in the Philippine National Open Arnis Championship in Angeles City, Pampanga on Feb. 11 and 12.

Lady Admirals topped the medal haul with Rechelle Martin bagging the delegation’s lone gold while April Rose Olayan Empizo and Junilda Ogalde Kines each took silver.

Meanwhile, Jun-Jun Dang-ay, Crislyn Sotero, Jediah Finmokod, Jayvee Ogues, Benjosua Bassit, and Berlin Balaswit pinned bronze medals to complete the haul.

The 18-strong delegation are under the tutelage of Reggie Pachong and Reynaldo Samson, both faculty members of CCDC’s College of Criminal Justice Education.

Arnis is among CCDC’s mainstay sports which is integrated in its physical education courses.*
