Admirals as Environmental Stewards

The Cordillera Career Development College aims to raise awareness to the school and the community of the importance of expressing our concern for the environment. This vision was made possible through the subsequent projects of the different departments of the school.

A tree planting activity was conducted on March 4, 2019 at Longlong, Puguis, La Trinidad, which was participated by the elementary students. This type of activity is just one of the many ways to safeguard our environment and it also serves as a learning opportunity for the students. At a young age, the children are able to physically contribute and make a difference in the community.

On the other hand, along with the participants from the different schools and organizations in La Trinidad, the students and some members of the faculty of the Senior High School department joined the community-led Balili Clean-up drive held March 15, 2019. They represented the school in cleaning Bolo creek, the designated area for CCDC, for the “Adapt-an-Estero” program to take part in the municipality’s effort to rehabilitate the river system.

Caring for the environment does not have an age or grade level requirement. As Admirals, part of our Holistic development is to become more ecologically aware and it is our innate responsibility to protect and conserve our natural resources. If we will not start acting today, then when?
