The Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) set an ambitious target for 2026: ensuring that at least 15% of all graduating students belong to the nation’s bottom 20% household income group. This initiative directly reflects CCDC’s core advocacy—bringing quality higher education and degree completion within reach for those who need it most.
In 2026, CCDC celebrated a total of 763 graduates. Of these, 128 graduates (17%) came from the country’s bottom 20% household income bracket, successfully surpassing the institution’s 15% goal. CCDC benchmarked its socioeconomic data using statistical guidelines established by the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS).
This milestone is the direct result of comprehensive academic support, sustained financial aid, and a unified, multi-departmental approach to student success.
Vice President for Academics Marina Sagandoy emphasized that CCDC remains deeply committed to strengthening academic mentorship, career placement, and scholarship programs. She noted that a whole-school and community-driven approach is key to ensuring that every student succeeds academically and professionally.
Through these continuous efforts, CCDC stays true to its mission of opening doors of opportunity—ensuring that poverty and geographic barriers never stop deserving students from completing their college education and building a brighter future.
