September 15–16, 2026 | Iyaman Hall, CCDC

College of Business Education and Administration successfully conducted a two-day Seminar and
Workshop on Airline Operations and Hospitality on September 15–16, 2026, at Iyaman Hall (SHS Hall).
The activity provided students with valuable knowledge, practical experiences, and meaningful insights into the aviation and hospitality industries.

The seminar focused on essential areas such as aviation, airline operations, customer service, effective communication, grooming, safety and security, emergency procedures, and passenger management. Through interactive discussions and hands-on activities, students were given opportunities to connect classroom learning with actual industry practices.

Day One: Building Essential Skills for the Industry

The first day featured topics designed to strengthen the students’ foundational knowledge and
professional skills. These included Introduction to Aviation, Grooming and Personality Development,
Effective Communication and Public Speaking, Customer Service Excellence, Inflight Food and Beverage Service, and Office Administration.

The workshops and activities encouraged students to actively participate and apply the concepts
presented by the speakers. The sessions emphasized the importance of professionalism, confidence,
proper communication, and excellent customer service in creating positive experiences for guests and passengers.

Day Two: Understanding Airline and Cabin Operations

The second day focused more closely on airline and airport operations. Students gained insights into
cabin crew responsibilities, cabin safety and security, inflight operations, emergency procedures,
passenger management, and airport operations.

The safety demonstrations and emergency scenario activities became among the most engaging parts of the seminar. These practical exercises allowed students to appreciate the importance of proper training, teamwork, communication, alertness, and appropriate decision-making when dealing with different situations in the aviation industry.

Scholarship Opportunities for CBEA Students

One of the highlights of the two-day event was the surprise opportunity extended to the fourth-year
students by the guest representatives. Two students were selected to receive training scholarships- one student receiving a 100% scholarship (Heartchel Munoz-BSTM student) and another receiving a 50% scholarship(Myrtel Ibayan- BSHM students).

Adding to the celebration was the fact that the selected students came from both Tourism Management and Hospitality Management, making the opportunity particularly meaningful for the participating programs. The scholarships provide the students with an opportunity to acquire additional knowledge and training that may complement their academic preparation and help them pursue their future career goals. CCDC-CBEA Family extends its heartfelt gratitude to PTC Aviation Training Center for providing this valuable opportunity to the students. Their generosity and support have opened another avenue for the students to learn, develop their skills, and prepare for their chosen careers.
