The successful holding of the Orientation and Training of Library Student Assistants was accomplished on August 8, 2026 at the Main Library. This activity was organized for the purpose of orienting, welcoming and preparing both new and returning student assistants with regard to their assigned responsibilities.
There were 12 student assistants who are assigned either to the Basic Education Learning Resource Center (LRC) and Main Library who participated in this orientation and training activity.
This orientation and training provided the necessary information regarding the roles and responsibilities of the student assistants in connection with the performance of their assigned tasks. It also informed them of the basic library procedures and expectations and the importance of providing efficient and courteous assistance to library users.
This orientation activity provided the student assistants with knowledge of their roles in organizing and maintaining an efficient and friendly atmosphere in the library. They also got the chance to know their fellow student assistants and make positive working relations with the library staff.
The activity concluded with a renewed commitment from the student assistants to perform their duties responsibly and support the library in delivering quality services. Their participation is expected to contribute to a more efficient and welcoming experience for learners, faculty, and other library users.
