𝗖𝗖𝗗𝗖 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 2026

CCDC once again demonstrated excellence and pride as it actively participated in the Strawberry Festival 2026 Celebration, showcasing the talents of both students and faculty in hospitality, culinary arts, and entrepreneurship.

One of the highlights of the event was the Mocktail and Cocktail Competition, coached by Ma’am Faye S. Aranca. In the Mocktail Competition (Mixed Category), Justin Kate Kidpalos, together with Myrtle Ibayan, represented the institution, with Justin earning 2nd Runner-Up despite competing alongside professionals. In the Cocktail Competition (Amateur Category), Clint Lee Kigues brought home the title of Champion, while Zaphenath Pugong secured 1st Runner-Up, marking a strong performance for CCDC.

CCDC also participated in the Strawberry Festival Culinary Competition, where two teams competed in the appetizer preparation round featuring strawberries as the main ingredient. Team 1, composed of Edwardo Apolinario and Jeruele Anapen Tiap, and Team 2, composed of Cassandra Viaña and John Leeshane D. Sevilla, both showcased creativity and skill. Notably, Team 2 ranked 1st out of 14 competitors, advancing to the next stage of the competition.

Further highlighting the institution’s versatility, CCDC joined the Dessert Master Chef Arena on March 30, 2026. Representing the Amateur Category were Jade Kyrille C. Pawil and Jety Joy Limong, while the Professional Category featured Ma’am Shirley S. Sabiling and Ma’am Gracelyn C. Cuanso. Their participation emphasized the strong collaboration between students and instructors in culinary innovation.

In addition to competitions, CCDC also engaged in academic enrichment through the Basic Entrepreneurship and Business Plan Making Workshop held on March 23–24, 2026. BS Entrepreneurship students, together with Ma’am Jazzel Balusdan, actively participated in the workshop, gaining valuable knowledge in business ideation, planning, and development.

Through these activities, CCDC not only earned recognition and awards but also strengthened the skills, confidence, and professional readiness of its students and faculty. The institution’s participation in the Strawberry Festival 2026 stands as a testament to its commitment to excellence and its continuous pursuit of quality education in hospitality and entrepreneurship.
