Youth Leaders Unite for Change at Linggo ng Kabataan 2025 Summit

The Municipal Gymnasium buzzed with youthful energy on August 12, 2025, as the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025 Youth Summit brought together officers and young leaders from various schools in Benguet  for a day of learning, leadership, and community-building.

Anchored on the theme “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” the summit underscored the power of youth in driving progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and building a sustainable future. The event was spearheaded by the Municipality of La Trinidad and designed to inspire proactive engagement among the youth.

Participants immersed themselves in dynamic discussions  tackling leadership, adolescent reproductive health, mental health, and healthy lifestyle practices. Sessions also emphasized the importance of civic responsibility and the vital role of organized youth groups in community development.

Senior High School officers  from Cordillera Career Development College attended the summit accompanied by their supportive SSG Adviser, Ma’am Sheryl T. Garcia. Officers shared how much they enjoyed the experience, highlighting the interactive activities and the opportunity to collaborate with fellow young leaders from different schools.

“This summit opened my eyes to the fact that we, as students, can make a difference,not just in our schools but in the whole community,” one participant remarked.

By the end of the day, the Youth Summit had not only strengthened leadership skills but also forged connections among future leaders committed to making positive changes. As the Municipality of La Trinidad continues to champion youth empowerment, the message was clear: the future is in capable, passionate, and determined hands.
