Who’s Always in the Library?

When you think of the most frequent visitor to the library, the first person that comes to mind might be the librarian. But who else could possibly hold the title of top borrower? Could it be the most studious student on campus, diligently flipping through textbooks and research materials? Or perhaps the bookworm who devours literature like it’s their lifeblood? Maybe, just maybe, it’s that student who uses the library more for napping than for actual studying.

For many, libraries can feel intimidating at first. I used to feel the same way. The systematic arrangement of books, governed by standardized classification systems like the Dewey Decimal System or the Library of Congress Classification, seemed overwhelming. Why couldn’t books just be placed in a way that made intuitive sense?

But as I spent more time in the library, I realized that these systems serve a purpose: they make it easier for readers to find what they need. If you’re looking for books on baking, for instance, you’ll find them neatly grouped together rather than scattered throughout the shelves.

Top Borrower

In promoting a culture of reading and maximizing library resource utilization in the campus, the Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) Library will recognize the most active book borrowers from February 1 to May 17, 2025.

Whether you’re a casual reader, a dedicated scholar, or someone who simply enjoys the library’s quiet ambiance, there’s always something magical about the world of books.

Who knows? Next semester, you might be the one claiming the title of the library’s top borrower!
