Talk, Feel, Heal: A Journey to Mental Wellness for Students

“Even healers need healing too.”
-Ms. Audrey Nicole G. Pahayahay

The Sanguniang Kabataan of Barangay Poblacion invited CCDC students on October 29, 2025, to participate in a seminar titled “Mental Health Check: Talk.Feel.Heal.” which was held at Al’s Restaurant, Town, La Trinidad, Benguet.

To fulfill the activity, they have invited Ms.Audrey Nicole G. Pahayahay and Doc. Alvin T. Morales as the speaker to share their stories and knowledge.

“Depression is real”, says Ms. Pahayahay as she starts sharing her journey on her mental health issue. Informing us to be gentler to ourselves, teaching us to heal ourselves while we are helping others. Her story inspires us to always see the good in any given situation in our lives.

“Stress feels uncomfortable, but not every uncomfortable feeling is stress, and being confused about what you feel is stressful in itself”, quoted by Doc. Morales in his thoughts about stress management. In his session, participants were instructed to pair with students from other schools to share their experiences of stress. While he was sharing his own story, many hearts were moved by how strong he has been through life was hard on him.

Truly, the seminar touched and taught the hearts and minds of the students. As said by Khizar Mazher, one of the participants in the seminar, he felt a mix of emotions because of the inspiring stories and experiences they shared. It was a memorable event indeed.

The seminar really is full of talk, sharing and storytelling, feel; listening and appreciating, heal; learning and knowing what to do. All in all, it has been a wonderful experience for the participants; they did not just listen, but they learned life lessons that can help them daily.
