SW Board Operations: Holistic Support for CCDC Social Work Board Takers

On September 8, 2025, the College of Social Work at Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) proudly implemented the AYUYANG ti RSW’s initiative—a departmental support program rooted in Cordilleran values and designed to provide holistic assistance to Social Work Board Takers.

The term “Ayuyang”, drawn from indigenous Cordilleran culture, signifies collective care, solidarity, and mutual upliftment. This ethos became the heartbeat of the activity, transforming board operations into a communal celebration of compassion, encouragement, and professional affirmation.

Held across multiple venues in Baguio City—namely PRC CAR, Skyrise Hotel, and Teachers Camp—the program mobilized faculty members, student volunteers, and support staff to create a nurturing environment for board takers.

The initiative included the distribution of snacks, motivational messages, logistical assistance, and emotional support, all aimed at reducing anxiety and reinforcing the professional identity of aspiring Registered Social Workers.

A highlight of the event was the active participation of volunteers, whose dedication and compassion reflected the values of the social work profession. Their presence and service were formally recognized through certificates of appreciation, affirming their role in fostering a culture of care and excellence.

The activity also served as a symbolic and practical extension of classroom learning, bridging theory and practice by demonstrating how institutional rituals and community engagement can empower students during critical milestones.

Through AYUYANG ti RSW’s, CCDC reaffirmed its commitment to producing competent, ethical, and culturally rooted social work professionals.
