FROM CAMPUSES TO COMMUNITIES

The Cordillera Career Development College, as a member of the CUBE Exchange partnership composed of the University of Baguio, Baguio Central University, and Easter College Incorporated, has formally joined in a collective mission to advance collaborative research and extension initiatives. The partnership marked this milestone with a MOA signing and dialogue with Hon. Mayor Franklin L. Smith, as well as the barangay captains of Atok, Benguet, which comprises eight barangays and serves as their chosen partner community. Present with them were barangay captains Hon. Elpidia Alos, Hon. Marlito Amdos, Hon. Romeo Bayating, Hon. Murphy Wagayan, and Hon. Froilan Anangan. Mayor Smith warmly welcomed all the CUBE initiators and assured that everyone involved in the research and extension efforts will be fully supported and nurtured within a secure and enabling environment. In a response message, Dr. Sherry Junette M. Tagle  emphasized that this partnership is not meant to stay inked on paper or frozen in photographs. Instead, it will drive concrete actions and implement helpful programs that will strengthen local  capacities and opportunities in Atok. This initiative is anchored on the thrusts of literacy, legal awareness, risk management, livelihood, health and wellness.
