ECO WALK WITH A THEME: Learning to Care, Walking to Act

On February 6, 2026, Grade 7 students participated in an Eco-Walk at Admirals–Lamtang as part of the school’s environmental education initiative. Anchored on the theme “Learning to Care, Walking to Act,” the activity aimed to provide learners with meaningful, real-life environmental experiences that connect classroom lessons to actual practice. In today’s rapidly urbanizing world, where many young learners have limited opportunities to interact with nature, the eco-walk served as a valuable step toward strengthening environmental awareness.

During the activity, students explored the natural surroundings under the guidance of their teachers and organizers. They observed plants, nearby waterways, and the general environmental conditions of the area. Through these hands-on experiences, learners gained a clearer understanding of environmental protection and conservation.

The eco-walk also involved active participation in nature observation and clean-up efforts. These activities helped strengthen students’ sense of responsibility toward the environment while promoting teamwork and cooperation among classmates. By engaging directly with their surroundings, they developed a deeper appreciation for nature and recognized the importance of both individual and collective action.

Overall, the Grade 7 Eco-Walk successfully embodied its theme. It not only enhanced students’ knowledge of environmental issues but also encouraged them to move beyond learning and take meaningful action. Through this initiative, learners were inspired to become more environmentally responsible individuals, ready to contribute positively to their community and the natural world.
