Cordillera Career Development College Students Clinched Top Spots in the 7th Highland Vegetable and Industry Week Culinary Competition

Hospitality Management and Entrepreneurship students from Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) showcased their culinary expertise at the 7th Highland Vegetable and Industry Week: Vegetable Cooking Showdown on August 29, 2025. The event, held at Benguet State University’s College of Home Economics and Technology, brought together talented young chefs to celebrate the rich flavor and versatility of Benguet’s highland vegetables.

Two teams from CCDC competed and secured multiple top spots. Team Highland Flavor Feast, comprised of Yancy Kispay Asiong, Mahdi Neri, Charles Salve, Dexter Tomelden, and Kiernold Jones Baucas, was crowned champion in the main dish and side dish categories. They also placed as first runner-up for their appetizer and third runner-up for their beverage. Team Savor the Summit, with members Jety Joy Limong, Jade Kyrille Pawil, Kristian Viaña, Jomar Garcia, and Ivan Xedric Lamsis, earned the title of first runner-up in both the main dish and beverage categories, while also placing as second runner-up for their appetizer and third runner-up for their side dish.

The teams’ impressive performance highlighted their creativity and skill, bringing recognition to both the students and CCDC.
