CCJE and Marksmanship Club equipped 273 students on Firearm Safety

The CCDC College of Criminal Justice Education, in collaboration with the CCDC Marksmanship Club, successfully held its Marksmanship  and Firearm Safety Orientation to Criminology students enrolled in PE 6 Fundamentals of Marksmanship.

The activity involves a quick draw competition applying firearms safety and other skills the student needs in firearms handling.

This event is to promote firearm safety, discipline, and awareness of safety regulations, including educational discussions, safety drills, and friendly competition.

Also conducted practical shooting sessions to build student confidence and teamwork which everyone enjoyed.

“This activity is not just about hitting targets—it’s about learning focus, discipline, and responsibility. These are skills students can carry beyond the range and into their future careers.” said Getheyzora Mee C. Coloma, Marksmanship Club President.

By doing this, the club hopes to increase the awareness and develop key professional skills such as focus, communication, leadership, discipline, and problem-solving, while gaining a deeper appreciation for responsibility and firearm safety.

Attended by 273 students facilitated by instructors, safety officers, and faculty members last November 19-20, 2024,  at Shilan Shooters Firing Range, Shilan, La Trinidad, Benguet.
