In a celebration of selflessness and community spirit, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Benguet Chapter held its 2026 Blood Donors Month Recognition Program on August 27, 2026, in La Trinidad, Benguet. Theme-centered around “One Drop of Humanity: Give Blood. Save Lives,” the annual ceremony gathered institutional partners, community organizers, and voluntary blood donors dedicated to sustaining the region’s life-saving supply.
A major highlight of the event was the conferment of the Blood Services Platinum Award to Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC). Signed by PRC Chairman and C.E.O. Richard J. Gordon, the national recognition honors CCDC’s steadfast commitment to life-saving initiatives.
The event re-emphasized the Red Cross core pledge, honoring donors who step forward during emergency situations and critical shortages. Organizations like CCDC serve as vital pillars, ensuring that hospitals and patients in Benguet and neighboring areas have access to blood when needed most.
The recognition stands as a testament to the collective effort of the CCDC student body, administration, and community volunteers who continue to prove that a single act of kindness can ripple out to save countless lives.
