CCDC Pre-service Teachers Celebrate Milestones with Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony

The College of Teacher Education (CTE) of the Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) held its Pinning and Candle Lighting Ceremony on September 19 at the Tupay-ya Complex, marking a significant milestone for its pre-service teachers.

Serving as keynote speaker was Lorna V. Wallit, PhD. an alumna of the institution and Principal II of Buyagan Elementary School. In her address, she reflected on the challenges and joys of the teaching profession while congratulating the preservice teachers for embracing a lifelong commitment to service.

Dr. Sherry Junette M. Tagle, CCDC President, encouraged the pre-service teachers to embody compassion in their vocation. She expressed her hopes that they develop hands tough enough to do the work, wise minds to make sound decisions, and caring hearts that teach with compassion.

Meanwhile, Atty. Abigail T. Bersamin, Vice President for Academics, congratulated the pre-service teachers on reaching this milestone and reminded them that behind every strict teacher is a big heart. She also extended her best wishes as they prepare for their off-campus practice teaching

Sir Jaylo L. Lacaden, the SSO Director, sent some prayers for the pre-service teachers too.

The ceremony was witnessed by parents, faculty, staff of the College of Teacher Education, and members of the CCDC administration, making the event both meaningful and memorable for the future educators.
