CCDC Graces First WURI Global Conference

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) achieved another feat as it joined universities from 16 countries in the very first World University Ranking for Innovation Global Conference at Seoul, South Korea on September 24-26, 2024.

Hosted by aSSIST University, other participating universities came from the Republic of Korea, Ethiopia, Romania, Brazil, USA, Taiwan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Bosnia, Turkey, India and the Philippines.

In the said conference, winners in ranking conducted earlier in June were awarded. CCDC, consistent with its performance in previous year’s ranking, placed 18th in its innovative case on Entrepreneurial Spirit entitled “Community-Based Entrepreneurship School (CES): Ushering the Entrepreneurial Success of a Local Poultry Industry” and 13th on Funding, “Building and Sustaining Community Sharing to Support Internationalization.” The two cases were also two of few that were chosen to be presented during the conference.  Also, CCDC ranked 10th on Leadership, “Advancing Leadership to Accelerate the Universal Health Care Act Implementation”.

President Tagle who was also chosen to moderate the session on Funding  proudly displays the awards for the innovative cases.

President Tagle represented CCDC as one of the 60 founding members of the World University Network of Innovation (WUNI) for Presidents of Universities.  In the same conference, the WUNI for Experts and WUNI for Leaders were also established.

“To actively participate in the first World University Ranking for Innovation Global Conference is a great honor.  To represent CCDC and share its innovative cases to other universities in the world is indeed a milestone.  It is an affirmation that our initiatives are highly significant, drawing recognition from universities worldwide.  Further, it strengthens the resolve to set the bar higher with more innovative efforts to ensure that learners gain the best experiences to make them globally competent human resources,” she said of the experience.
