Accountancy Students Shine in “Mr. & Ms. Financial Flair: Crowning the Dreamers, Shining the Stars”

Bugaan, LTB – March 7, 2025 — The Junior Philippine Institute of Accountancy (JPIA) – CCDC Chapter successfully held its much-anticipated departmental pageant titled “Mr. & Ms. Financial Flair: The Glamorous Balance: Showcasing Style and Substance” at the TUPAY-YA Gym, CCDC Campus. The event showcased not only the beauty and talents of accountancy students but also their leadership, confidence, and creativity—traits crucial to excelling in the accounting profession.

Held on March 7, the pageant featured 8 participants wherein they represented 1st to 4th year, cheered on by their peers and guided by two faculty advisers. T

The event was a testament to the holistic development encouraged by the College of Accountancy (COA), highlighting qualities that go beyond technical knowledge—such as emotional intelligence, resilience, and collaboration.

“This pageant is more than a showcase of talents—it’s a platform to highlight the personal and professional attributes that future accountants need,” said one of the organizers. “It’s also a chance for our members to support one another and grow together.”

The pageant served as a venue for developing soft skills among the contestants and the organizing team alike. Members of the JPIA improved their leadership and event management skills, while contestants were evaluated based on attributes that reflect the values of the profession and the community they aim to serve.

Winners of the event, namely Mr. Aldre Jaizen Boyaoyao and Ms. Irish Nahaul (both 2nd year representatives), will go on to represent the COA in the upcoming Mr. & Ms. CCDC competition, bringing pride and excellence to the department. The success of the activity reinforces the commitment of the College to provide opportunities that balance academic rigor with personal growth.
