“A Step Towards Good Governance: DILG-Benguet Signs Memorandum of Understanding with CCDC”

Under the rainy skies and cold weather caused by Tropical Depression Mirasol, representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Benguet division and colleges in the La Trinidad area partnered up for the Benguet Province – Provincial Local Governance Resource Center – Technical Working Group Multi-Stakeholders Advisory Council or BP-PLGRC MSAC. This initiative aims to strengthen the collaboration between DILG-Benguet, local government units, and partner institutions in delivering good governance and quality public services. Furthermore, it seeks to manage and utilize local resources, facilities, and student research efforts to promote sharing of culture, education, and knowledge between its stakeholder institutions.

The event was held at the Admiral’s Park Event Center in Lamtang, La Trinidad, Benguet on September 17, 2025. In attendance were the relevant members of DILG-Benguet and other government offices, Benguet State University, King’s College of the Philippines, and Cordillera Career Development College. President Sherry Junette M. Tagle and Ma’am Corazon L. Ocden were present during the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between CCDC and DILG-Benguet.

With good governance becoming an important topic within the political climate of the Philippines, this event is a great step towards fostering transparent and accountable partnerships within our province. As CCDC continues to be an active member of the local community, may we all do our part in creating a peaceful and successful Benguet!
