8,035 Visitors and Counting: Our Green Park is Thriving!

The Admirals Farm Park is a developing expansion site of the Cordillera Career Development College. It has been an outdoor learning activity site for students. Now, it is available as a mini-recreational site for local residents of Benguet and Baguio. It is suited at Pinalyok, Lamtang, La Trinidad, Benguet.

The 2025 visitor data is in, and it tells a thrilling story of a public park transformed into a vibrant hub for UN Sustainable Development Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities. Over the course of twelve months, our green gates welcomed a staggering 8,035 community members, proving that active public spaces are the true heartbeat of an inclusive city. By seamlessly blending wild nature with urban health, the park has become a living, breathing testament to what happens when you build a safe, sustainable haven for everyone.

The year kicked off with a sensational burst of energy as families, fitness enthusiasts, and outdoor lovers flooded our grounds. Momentum skyrocketed to an absolute annual peak in March 2025, drawing an incredible 1,450 total visitors who packed our biking trails, hit the sports facilities, and explored the trekking paths. This followed a highly successful January (946) and February (848), proving our active infrastructure keeps the community moving year-round. The real magic, however, unfolded in December, which brought a massive surge of 1,049 visitors. During the festive winter break, our vibrant camping sites and active zones were filled with the energy of 739 children in a single month shattering attendance records and proving that our eco-spaces are the ultimate vacation destination for local youth.

While the holiday peaks brought unmatched energy, the quiet summer months revealed a fascinating mystery. Traffic dropped from 783 in May to 384 in June, eventually hitting a year-low of just 71 total visitors in July, leaving our trekking trails and sports courts unusually quiet. But where others see a slump, we see an inspiring blank canvas for sustainable urban design. This summer dip provides an exciting opportunity to introduce innovative cooling features, lush shaded canopies along our biking loops, and sunset camping experiences, turning the park into a refreshing, resilient urban oasis even during the hottest months of the year.

The true soul of our park lies in the diverse community it serves. Adults formed the dependable backbone of our park family, logging 4,584 visits (57.1%) and bringing steady life to our sports courts and trekking amenities month after month. Meanwhile, children brought the park to life with 3,405 visits (42.4%), directly fulfilling SDG 11’s promise of providing safe, accessible playgrounds and recreational areas for youth. However, with seniors accounting for just 46 visits (0.5%) all year, we have an inspiring new mission for 2026: to pioneer age-friendly upgrades, smoother, flat-terrain trekking paths, and accessible biking options to ensure our elders can safely enjoy the great outdoors.

Heading into 2026, the park is fueled by big data and even bigger dreams. We are scaling up our operations to meet the spectacular, predictable holiday crowds of March, April, and December. Simultaneously, we are turning our focus toward transforming our summers and making our active spaces entirely accessible for seniors. We aren’t just managing a park; we are actively engineering a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future where every single citizen has a beautiful place to camp, ride, play, and belong.
