CCDC Joins CHED’s ICONS Awards 2025 Celebration Honoring Internationally Recognized Philippine HEIs

Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) proudly participated in the International Champions of Nation-Building and Sustainability (ICONS) Awards 2025, an event organized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to honor Philippine Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) recognized by international ranking bodies. The ceremony was held on 10 December 2025 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City.

Representing the institution at this significant national event were Atty. Annabelle B. Gondales, Vice President for Administration, and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐨𝐧 𝐋. 𝐎𝐜𝐝𝐞𝐧 , International Relations Officer. Their attendance underscored CCDC’s steadfast commitment to strengthening its internationalization initiatives and contributing to the global positioning of Philippine higher education.

The ICONS Awards 2025 celebrated HEIs acknowledged by global ranking systems such as Times Higher Education (THE) where  CCDC ranked  1001-1500, and the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) where  CCDC ranked 124. This year’s ceremony continues the tradition of recognizing institutions that show exemplary performance in sustainability, internationalization, research productivity, and national development efforts.

CCDC’s participation reflects the college’s ongoing commitment to raise its academic standards, strengthen quality assurance, and align its programs with global benchmarks. Through active engagement in CHED-led initiatives and international platforms, CCDC positions itself as a dynamic higher education institution dedicated to advancing innovation, excellence, and regional development.

As CCDC continues to expand its international partnerships and elevate its academic profile, the institution expresses its gratitude to CHED for the invitation and recognition.
