La Trinidad, Benguet — Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) has continued to integrate ecosystem education into its programmes during 2024–2025, using outdoor learning experiences and community extension initiatives to build environmental awareness rooted in Sustainable Development Goal 15 (Life on Land).
In December 2025, CCDC’s Grade 10 Junior High School students participated in a two-day Educational Camping at Admirals’ Farm Park, designed to strengthen environmental awareness and stewardship through experiential outdoor learning. Anchored on SDG 15, the programme engaged students in trekking, hiking, and team-building activities that deepened their understanding of natural resources and responsible land use.

CCDC’s institutional commitment to ecosystem education is further reflected in its SDG 15 framework, which states that the College “values the diverse ecosystems and wildlife that flourish on land” and promotes learning about forests, wildlife habitats, and biodiversity. This orientation is supported by the College’s Community Extension Programs, which share knowledge and skills with local communities through initiatives such as the Panbadangan Project, a collaborative effort to design community-based plans for adopted schools and barangays.

CCDC also works with partners including the CHED-UniFAST Cordillera and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for tree-planting and waste management and has integrated environmental themes across its curriculum through projects such as tree planting and community clean-up drives. These efforts collectively contribute to a culture of ecosystem awareness and conservation both within the campus and in partner communities.

Moving forward, CCDC aims to promote biodiversity conservation and enhance sustainability research and monitoring, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for environmental education in the Cordillera region.
