Project S.A.F.E. Sight by CP2 Interns Promotes Energy Conservation at CCDC Campus

Project S.A.F.E. Sight, organized by the CP2 Interns, was conducted on May 11, 2026, at the CCDC school campus to promote energy conservation and responsible electricity use among students and staff. High electricity costs often place a burden on school and community budgets, reducing funds for essential programs such as student scholarships, classroom supplies, and community outreach activities.

Project S.A.F.E. Sight—Save Electricity, Act Responsibly, Foster Efficiency, and Empower Youth—addressed this concern by placing eye-catching posters and signage in classrooms and around the campus. These visual reminders encouraged everyone to switch off lights, electric fans, and other appliances when not in use.

The activity promoted awareness, responsibility, teamwork, and sustainable habits within the school community. Similar energy conservation campaigns in Philippine schools, including the Department of Education’s initiatives, have demonstrated significant reductions in electricity consumption.

Students actively participated in creating and installing the signage, helping develop leadership, creativity, and a stronger sense of responsibility. Through the project, participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of conserving electricity and became more mindful of using school facilities.

Ultimately, Project S.A.F.E. Sight demonstrated how simple actions can lead to meaningful savings while helping build a greener, more efficient, and more responsible school community.
