CCDC HRM students served as ushers and usherettes during the 10th Annual HRT Weekend on September 5-7, 2013.

Cordillera Career Development College (CCDC) wins first place in this year’s “Cordillera Kitchen” Student Category in the 10th Annual Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism (HRT) Weekend activities by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Baguio (HRAB) held on September 5-7, 2013 at the Baguio Country Club (BCC). With this year’s theme “Mushrooms Galore”, Kevin Narcilla and Clarissa Awingan, both fourth year Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) students, prepared the winning dish that earned 96% rating from the judges.

After just being observers in the past years’ HRT Weekend, CCDC is able to join one category of the different competitions in this year’s event. It is being participated by different schools within Baguio and nearby municipalities and provinces.

Moreover, there were selected third year and fourth year HRM students who served as ushers and usherettes in the 3-day event, who some were assigned at the BCC while others at the SM City Baguio Atrium during the opening ceremony in which they featured the giant cakes with the replicas of heritage structures and tourist destinations of the Summer Capital.

Awarding ceremony was held at the CAP Convention Center, Camp John Hay in the evening of September 7, 2013. The CCDC participants are coached by Ms. Joan Patnaan, an instructor in CCDC HRM Department.

CCDC Gr. 7 tops Science Quiz

CCDC wins 3rd place over-all in the 3rd Math-Science Festival for Private Schools held last Aug. 31, 2013 at the Epiphany Learning Center.  Grade 7 student Penny Malou Bersamin won 1st place in the Science Quiz, with Jerry Manogan as coach.
